Stop the BBC cuts to Radio Networks and the BBC Web Site Now in "Consultation period"
It difficult at the best of times to get media coverage of the Fluoridation issue and even harder to get it covered by Radio or TV. I have over the last couple of years however managed to get on four BBC Local radio or regional stations which did items on fluoride, BBC Radio Leeds, BBC TV Manchester, BBC Manx Radio and BBC Radio Wales. Suffice it to say that Independent radio and TV have never once covered it and trying to get it mentioned is probably impossible.
The BBC may have many faults but it is usually fairly well balanced and thus more than worthy of retaining. If the BBC TV yields to the pressure from Government and the likes of Rupert (Dirty Digger) Murdoch we will be left with little more than a pay per view website and the most trivial of contents. There is a huge campaign currently running within and outside of the BBC to save Radio Six and the Asian Network which are both facing the chop and to stop the Beeb cutting the BBC Web Site, arguably one of the best Websites on the World Wide Web. You can help by adding your name to the petitions and write in campaigns.
